What’s On Roundup 21-27 May 2022

Here’s a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds. For full listings go over to our What’s On calendar here.

We start on Saturday morning with two great family events. First up from 10-11am it’s Family Lego Club at The Holbeck club, Jenkinson Lawn. The free event is led by Community Connector Tracy – get down there and get building!

If you prefer the outdoors, don’t forget the free weekly Parkplay session in Brickfield Park on Lady Pit Lane in Beeston from 10:30am.

If local history is your thing, don’t miss the guided walk in Middleton Park on Sunday looking at early coal mining activity in the park. Meet at the Visitor Centre by the lake at 1:30pm and wear walking shoes or boots as part of the route will be on woodland paths.

Games, arts and crafts and jumping around are on the agenda for the Leeds Dads meet up on Sunday afternoon, 2-4pm at The Holbeck, Jenkinson Lawn. All dads and their preschool children are welcome.

On Wednesday Leeds Playhouse brings ‘I Wanna Be Yours‘ to the Hamara Centre, Tempest Road, Beeston. Tickets are just £3, book at (0113) 213 7700, or online: leedsplayhouse.org.uk

The Council’s Employment & Skills team are holding a Jobs Fair at St George’s Community Hub & Library on Thursday 10am-4pm

And finally, on Thursday afternoon why not pop along to Beeston Parish Centre on Town Street for Your Space’s Community Fun Day. Meet new friends whilst you enjoy crafts, bing, sports, games, and a raffle, there’s even a meal thrown in, 12-4:30pm.
