Want Leeds to be an Age Friendly city?
So do we. The Age Friendly Charter Steering Group meet once a month to discuss how Leeds can be a great city to grow old in.
In 2018, we are encouraging businesses to let older people come in and rest for a few minutes if they need to. The scheme is inspired by similar initiatives which have been very successful in New York City, Manchester and Nottingham.
If you would like to get involved and help, please come to one of our upcoming meetings to find out more. You don’t need to have any specific experience in things like this; you just need to be an older person with opinions!
- Thursday 8 February, 1:30pm
- Friday 9 March, 1:30pm
Both meetings are at The Victoria Hotel, Great George Street (behind the Town Hall) LS1 3DL
We have many members from North Leeds but not very many from South Leeds so we want to make sure all views are getting heard.
If you have any questions you can get in touch with Emily Axel on (0113) 244 1697 or emily@opforum.org.uk.
