In the region of 100 people recently helped to give amateur rugby club Hunslet Warriors a new look.
The club beat off competition from 60 other clubs to win £5,000 of makeover money from Super League sponsors Engage Mutual. Volunteers helped to revamp the club’s 20-year-old kitchen facilities, the changing rooms were painted and redecorated, the showers cleaned and the pipework replaced.
Railings around the two pitches were painted, along with the dug-outs, nets were replaced and a new patio was laid.
