The Tetley offers free children’s meals

The Tetley, Hunslet’s own art gallery, has been in touch to tell us that it has fifty free meals for children who might otherwise go without tomorrow, Friday 30 October 2020. In a statement they said:

“To play our small part in helping some of the many families struggling during this difficult time The Tetley is working with the Real Junk Food project to provide at least 50 free meals to families in Leeds on Friday 30 October. We know this isn’t going to change things in the long term but we’d really like to do what we can, even if it’s just for that one meal.

“We want to be able to offer many more meals but our finances don’t stretch far enough so we’ve set up a ‘Pay it Forward’ campaign, asking those who can afford to help to buy a meal for someone else less fortunate.”

Families can come down to The Tetley, which is situated in the old headquarters building of the brewery (Hunslet Road, LS10 1JQ) between 12pm and 4pm for a meal. We’re taking bookings via the phone (0113) 230 2323 and online here selecting the option “Half Term Meal” but if families would prefer to just turn up then that’s fine too.
