Police have confirmed that a 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two swans in Middleton Park last Thursday (30 November 2023).
In a statement West Yorkshire Police said:
“Police investigating an incident in which two swans were reported to have been shot have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with the matter.
“The male was arrested on Saturday, 2 December and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
“Members of the public are asked not to speculate on social media regarding this matter and to report any information to the police.”
