Three public meetings are being held next week to discuss proposals for a potential new primary school for Beeston and Holbeck children on the site of the South Leeds Sports Centre. The meetings will take place next Monday at the Hamara Centre at 2pm, Tuesday at Tunstall Road Community Centre at 5.30pm
Members of the Splashback campaign are continuing their fight to get South Leeds Sports Centre in Beeston reopened. The facilities were closed by Leeds city council in November last year due to falling visitor numbers and high running costs. Campaigners recently held a protest demonstration outside the boarded up facilities.
