Spring into Summer with short courses at the University

We are busy organising our fifth year of Spring into Summer short courses and events.

Lifelong Learning 11Starting the week beginning Monday 8 June, our 2015 programme includes a range of events and learning-for-pleasure courses and workshops in creative writing, culture, current affairs, languages, literature and religion. In conjunction with departments around the University, we will also have a range of free seminars looking at some of the issues of the day such as fracking and payday loans. Following on from last year’s successful Women and the First World War event, one of our seminars will look at the extraordinary life and death of the British WWI nurse Edith Cavell.

This programme is part of the Lifelong Learning Centre’s public engagement programme. Our aim is to encourage a passion for lifelong learning by organising an interesting programme with low fees and free events to attract adult of all ages.
