South Leeds Life’s set for Talk About Local unconference

South Leeds Life will be up bright and early tomorrow and heading for Birmingham for the annual Talk About Local Unconference.

Talk About Local helps communities up and down the country to set up their own blogs and find their own powerful voice online.

This will be the fourth unconference for Talk About Local, following the successful ones in Stoke-on-Trent, Leeds and Cardiff. Organisers are hoping #TAL12 will be another well-attended, action-packed and thought-provoking meeting of the locally minded – be you a hyperlocal blogger, community activist or reporter or local government employee.

As this is an unconference style event, there is no set agenda for the day – attendees will decide the programme at the beginning, so what’s discussed and produced over the course of the day is up to attendees.

South Leeds Life is one of the proud sponsors of the event alongside The Media Trust, Nesta and Notice from the Guardian Media Group.

You can follow the latest from the unconference by following the #TAL12 hashtag on Twitter.
