South Leeds charity launches fundraising campaign

People Matters have announced that they are launching their new fundraising campaign this autumn. A ball to be held at The Queens Hotel in October is nearly sold out as they start to look at other ways they can connect with their local community and future supporters.

A local charity, based on Croydon Street in Holbeck, People Matters have been developing inclusive communities since 2002. Providing opportunities for people experiencing disadvantage to access a range of projects and activities. They may be looking at entering volunteering or employment, wanting to be creative or be more social. Members are given the guidance and support they require to reduce isolation, increase self-confidence and be active members of their community.

Sally Jude their newly appointed Fundraising and Development Manager said:

“As a member-led not-for-profit charitable organisation our mission is to create opportunities for people to more independent. By working with our local community, engaging with our supporters and increasing our income through fundraising activity we will be able to achieve this.”
