South Leeds: Busy week of community meetings and events

There’e a busy week of community meetings and events coming up in the next seven days…

Tuesday, November 1

Would you like to contribute to South Leeds Life? You’re welcome to our next blog meeting at the new Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre, meeting room three, Acre Close, Middleton at 10am.

The next meeting of theBeeston Hill Residents Voice community group is to be held at the Building Blocks centre, 7pm. It will include a visit from an accredited landlord, who will talk about the proposed changes to houses of multiple occupancy (HMO) legislation and answer any questions.

Wednesday

There’s a Hunslet PACT community meeting at the Church of the Nazarene, Hunslet (6.30pm).

Thursday

The next meeting of Beeston Community Forum will be held at 7.30pm at Beeston Village Community Centre, St. Anthony’s Drive. The guest speakers will be Shaun Harvey, Chief Executive, Leeds United FC and speakers dealing with bus services including a representative of First Leeds and representatives of ‘Metro. The meeting will also consider a resolution to invite representatives of Asda and the public relations firm acting for them to a forum meeting early in the new year.

Saturday, November 5

Demonstration outside South Leeds Sports Centre by members of SPLASH campaign fighting to reopen facilities (noon).
