SNAPS to hold open day in Belle Isle

SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support) is a wonderful Leeds charity that works with children with disabilities and their families.

We offer affordable Hydrotherapy and Rebound therapy sessions on Saturdays and access to group activities such as Boccia, music therapy, dance, story telling and free play in a safe environment. The children, parents and siblings also benefit from the chance to meet and build relationships with other individuals and families in the same situation as themselves.

SNAPS is there for the whole family when they most need help and friendship. It provides a safe place that is welcoming, where families don’t need to explain their child’s disability, but simply enjoy being with other families and benefit from each other’s support.

One mum said, “I can’t really put into words how much we value and appreciate what SNAPS has done for our son and our family – they have been a massive part of our journey so far.”

Since starting as a informal group of 6 parents in 2004 we have grown into a vital local charity supporting 33 families every Saturday at Penny Field SILC in North Leeds, but we know the demand is there to support more families. Therefore we are delighted to be opening a second site at Broomfield SILC in South Leeds on Saturday 13 May 2017 and we would be delighted if you could join us for a tour of the project and the official opening.

A timetable for the day is as follows:

  • 9.30am Doors Open
  • 11.00am Tour of the Project
  • 11.30am Official Opening
  • 12.00pm Buffet Lunch

We really hope you will be able to share this special occasion with us.
