[slideshow]The communities of Manor Farm and surrounding Belle Isle and Middleton join in a Community Fun Day at the Manor Field Hall, writes Deacon Al Henry.
It was an afternoon of food, craft, dance, advice and information.
Many local agencies such as Health for All, Change4Life, Aire Valley Homes, weight management, mental health and Stoptober (a programme to quit smoking this October), were on hand to share information.
Ward councillors Kim Groves and Paul Truswell, together with local police community support officers, paid a visit and were on hand to meet the local community.
Highlights of the afternoon were the fruit cups provided by Health for All and dance with Wiggle Dance Studio.
Thanks to Gayle Graham and her team for organising this event, which was a success.
The health information stall – weight management, healthy eating, smoking advice, health checks – and the popular Change4Life stall were all managed by the Healthy Communities team managed by Health for All.
