Sign up for the Colour Run

You are invited to take part in the Colour Run to celebrate Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day with a splash of colour!

Happening on Sunday 10 March 2024 at 10:30am at the John Charles Centre for Sport. Thanks to the support of the Inner South Leeds Community Committee this event is free and open to all, offering fun for all the family.

You can run, jog, or walk the 2-mile course which starts and ends on the impressive running track. Participants are recommended to wear light coloured clothing and shoes which they don’t mind getting messy with colourful paint powder, as well as eye protection such as sunglasses or swim goggles.

Councillor Gohar Almass, Inner South Community Committee Children and Families Champion (Labour, Beeston and Holbeck) said:

“The Inner South Leeds Community Committee is delighted to be supporting this free family event. I would also like to pass on my thanks to John Charles Centre for Sport for hosting the event, South Leeds Schools Wellbeing and British Triathlon, as well as local run club volunteers for support marshalling the event.

“I would encourage all members of the local community to get involved in what’s set to be a brilliant family-friendly event.”

While you’re here, can we ask a favour?

South Leeds Life is published by a not-for-profit social enterprise. We keep our costs as low as possible but we’ve been hit by increases in the print costs for our monthly newspaper which have doubled in the last two years.

Could you help support local community news by making a one off donation, or even better taking out a supporters subscription?

  1. We tried to sign up for this on Friday when you published your article but it’s already sold out . That’s a shame as we are local and would have loved to have been part of it. How did everyone know about it before South Leeds Life?!!
