  1. Hello South Leeds Life, I am just wondering if I am only person to find it incredulous that our local schools were closed yesterday owing to “severe” weather. I can’t imagine the disruption this would have caused to working parents. I read on face book that a popular Leeds coach company were up and ready to do their usual school run to find their efforts weren’t necessary.
I went to school in the 50s and 60s when the winters were far more severe and not once did our schools close. I would be interested to hear who deemed it necessary to close the schools and the reasons why.
I do hope the children enjoyed their day off and were able to play in the snow.
