Residents invited to health AGM

NHS Clinical Commissioning Group AGM invitation to residents of south and east Leeds

Nurse NHS consultationNHS Leeds South and East Clinical Commissioning Group is giving members of the public an opportunity to find out what GP practices are doing in south and east Leeds to tackle some of the biggest health issues facing the local population, and the wider challenges facing health services.

NHS Leeds South and East Clinical Commissioning Group is the organisation responsible for planning and buying health services for around 260,000 people living in south and east Leeds, and is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 28 September 2016 at The Village Hotel, Capitol Boulevard West, Tingley, from 1.00-3.45pm.

The event will be a joint meeting with the CCG’s 42 GP member practices and will be an opportunity for all attendees to hear about what the CCG has been doing, its financial accounts, and plans for the future. The event will be shining a spotlight on primary care in particular and will include the CCG’s first ever Primary Care Awards – a chance to hear about how GPs, nurses and health care assistants working in our GP practices are going the extra mile to help improve patients’ health.

There will also be updates from the CCG’s lead clinicians: GPs who, alongside working in primary care, also lead on key areas in collaboration with the CCG, such as children’s mental health and cancer care.
