Police issue further appeal after the death of a pedestrian

Police have re-issued their appeal for witnesses of a traffic incident that led to the death of a 38 pedestrian on Friday night.

The incident happened on Middleton Lane near the junction with Whinthorpe Avenue at around 9:25pm on Friday 23 March 2018. The 28 year old driver of a black Vauxhall Vectra was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation.

Police officers are particularly keen to trace the occupants of a small white car which was travelling along Middleton Lane in the direction of Thorpe, the same direction as the Vectra.

Any witnesses to the incident and anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or the circumstances leading up to it are asked to contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 13180138562.
