Police Appeal: Man sought over attempted robbery, Beeston

 

Police have released an efit image of a man they want to trace following an attempted robbery on a woman in Leeds.

efit town streetAt about 9:30am on Tuesday March 11 2014, the 44-year-old victim was in Town Street, Beeston, when she was approached by a man who tried to snatch her handbag from her shoulder and pushed her to the floor during a struggle.

The offender fled empty handed when he was disturbed by a witness.

He was described as white, aged 30 to 40, medium build with a round face.

Detective Constable Ian Johnson, of Leeds District CID, said:

“The victim was left very shaken by this incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw the man in the area or who recognises him from the efit image.”
