G1 Consists of a group of Grey Poplar trees (Populus canescens), in close proximity to Leeds district police headquarters. The trees are overhanging the headquarters grounds causing concern and safety issues, with large amounts of deadwood frequently falling into the grounds, there are multiple limbs (scaffold branches) in the crown which have failed in the past with multiple included bark unions. T1 and T2 Grey Poplar – Remove as overhanging and leaning towards the grounds, although access is limited to the base at time of inspection, the roots appear to have heaved. T3 Grey Poplar Remove, smaller tree situated behind T1 and T2, poor specimen having been suppressed. Low value tree. – Replant 3 x standard Field Maple (Acer campestre) in and around area of felled trees but spaced for future growth.
