Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Belle Isle

A pedestrian who was injured in a collision on Middleton Road, Leeds, on Friday (30 November 2018) has now passed away.

The pedestrian, who has been formally identified as Maureen Routledge, 82, from Leeds, was taken to hospital following the collision and passed away on Saturday (1 December).

As we reported on Friday, the incident happened at around 12:20pm on Friday on Middleton Road, near to the junction with Orion Drive, when she was hit by a white Renault Kangoo van.

The 29-year-old male driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has dashcam footage, is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting log number *748 of 30 November.
