Night-time works on Hunslet Road start this week

From Monday (20 January 2020) Leeds City Council will be undertaking night-time road works on Hunslet Road as part of its Connecting Leeds project to create a bus priority corridor along the route to the new Park & Ride at Stourton and on to Wakefield.

Ducting works will be carried out at various locations along the A61 to install cabling across roads for new traffic signals. The works will be undertaken at night from 8pm till 6am and temporary, localised lane closures will be implemented whilst the works are carried out.

In a statement the Council say:

“These works can be noisy, however we have planned them to be as non-disruptive as possible. The loudest activities will be undertaken first on each shift and we will also be using noise control barrier panels.”
