The NHS vaccination rollout in Leeds is getting a boost with the addition of a new pharmacy centre at St Mary’s Parochial Hall, North Lingwell Road in Middleton.
Anyone in the eligible groups, which now include people 30 and over, will be able to book an appointment at the venue from this week.
People can book appointments now using the NHS National Booking System at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119. This allows you to select an appointment at a time and place to suit you.
As well as the new vaccination centres, some local GPs are also continuing to work together to provide vaccination services across the district and are busy contacting patients to offer them appointments.
Dr Jason Broch, a GP in Leeds and Chair of NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group, said:
“We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get their vaccinations and the new services give people additional options to choose from.
“All our centres are continuing to offer appointments and have availability so if you are eligible, please don’t delay and book your appointment now. It’s easy to do and will help to protect both you and your loved ones.”
