The ‘Make it Work’ project is a new and exciting programme run by Social Skillz UK: a social enterprise organisation that works with individuals, aged 16 years and over, who are in need of support and are not currently engaged in further education or training.

The ‘Make it Work’ project focuses on both practical, interpersonal and life skills, as well as being able to gain an accredited qualification and real life work experience. Through the programme Social Skillz UK wants to empower and educate young people to recognise their potential, raise their aspirations and increase their confidence to create their futures; one step at a time. Projects will include catering and ‘upcycling’ furniture which will be sold on Leeds Market.

The programme is based at the ‘The Place’ 98 Parkwood Road, Beeston, LS11 5RA. The Place is also available for use by the local community.
