A package of highway works are due to be approved to make the roads around Beeston Hill St Luke’s CofE Primary School safer for pedestrians.
The school, located at the bottom of Beeston Road, is currently being expanded to become a two form entry school with 420 pupils. The works will see a new zebra crossing built on a speed table and Moorville Road will become one way. Parking bays that are currently available all day will be restricted to two hours parking to remove commuter parking.
The works will cost £55,000 and be completed within the next financial year, by March 2021.
