New Asda plans on agenda at Beeston Forum

Plans for a new Asda store off Old Lane in Beeston will be discussed at Thursday’s Beeston Forum meeting.

Representatives from Asda will be at the meeting to give local residents more details about the plans, which would see the existing store demolished and replaced with a larger store at the back of the same site.

People will also be able to put their own questions about the new store to Sally Pinder of Asda and Richard Anderson of Anderson Communications.

Both Asda and Tesco’s plans for Old Lane are due to be discussed by city councillors at a plans panel meeting in the Civic Hall on January 26.

The Forum is neutral over both plans. Beeston Forum meets at 7.30pm at Beeston Village Community Centre, St Anthony’s Drive, Beeston.

We’re hoping to live blog proceedings as they happen on Thursday evening.
