Westward Care has introduced “Never Too Late Yoga” sessions at Pennington Court, its award-winning nursing and care home in Beeston.
These innovative classes will see clients enjoy meditation, breath awareness and gentle yoga techniques to stretch and strengthen muscles. The exercise’s health benefits are well-known and will help people relax, sleep better and retain their fitness, whilst remaining as supple and mobile as possible.
Christine Bell, Yoga Instructor said:
“Yoga therapy in care homes is a fantastic and innovative idea and one that will benefit clients from all walks of life. Not only will it help improve posture and promote a more positive mental attitude, but the classes are also a great social activity which everyone can get involved in.”
Angela Randle, General Manager at Pennington Court said:
“We are always trying to pioneer new activities to help residents lead a healthy and interactive lifestyle. Never Too Late Yoga is giving both clients and members of staff the chance to try something new and we are all feeling the benefits.”
