Motorcyclist suffers life threatening injuries in Beeston collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 19 May 2026) in the Beeston area of Leeds.

It was reported at 12.09am that a collision had occurred on Tempest Road at the junction with Woodview Road involving a grey Mercedes A200 and a black electric motorbike.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to hospital where his injuries are described as life-threatening.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are asking for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the events leading up to it to make contact. They are also appealing for anyone with any relevant dashcam footage to also get in touch.

  1. There needs to be a crackdown on these bikes, kids are riding around on them with nothing more than a balaclava for protection.

    1. There was one at 21:30 last night going up n down green mount st like a madman possessed maybe was same one also maybe same one going round checking car doors around the estate ‍♂️ who lets there kids out that time of night don’t tell me he sneaked out parents not to blame etc

    2. There was no balaclava mate don’t speak on what you don’t know, when it’s your own children you’d think different
