Thousand flocked to Middleton Park last night to see the bonfire and fireworks display.
Councillor Paul Truswell greeted the crowd, thanked the Council’s Parks department and White Rose Shopping Centre for their sponsorship. Then it was the turn of Grace Coyle, a pupil from Middleton St Mary’s primary school who had won the Bonfire Poster competition. After a countdown by the crowd, Grace pushed the button to light the massive bonfire.
