Middleton cooking event at Middleton Methodist Church

Come along and try out pizza making!!

On Friday 3rd June during National Families Week a cooking event will take place at Middleton Methodist Church between 11 – 2pm. The event will run on a drop in basis and families are encouraged to pop in to take part in a number of activities such as pizza making, fruit tasting and fun games. The event supports the key messages of the national Change 4 Life campaign which seeks to support families to Eat Well, Move More and Live Longer.

The event will be attended by local families who have taken part in a cooking course at Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food Leeds in Leeds Kirkgate Market over the last few months, to share their experiences of attending the course. The Ministry of Food Leeds offers a ten week cooking skills programme equipped to teach anyone basic cooking skills from boiling an egg to making a traditional Yorkshire roast dinner. A member of staff from the food centre will also be at the event to help out and answer any questions.

The event has been organised by NHS Leeds, Extended Schools Services and Health For All.
