Man arrested following indecent exposure on canal towpath

Officers in Leeds swiftly attended and arrested a man this morning (3 September 2026) after a report of a man indecently exposing himself on the canal towpath.

A call was received at 7.20am from a concerned woman reporting a man indecently exposing himself on the towpath near Leeds Dock. Within 20 minutes of the call, officers had arrested a 20-year-old man and were transporting him to custody.

As part of the ongoing investigation into this incident, officers would like to speak to anyone else who was in the area this morning who has witnessed this offence.

They are also urging anyone who has potentially seen a man engaging in similar behaviour in this area previously who has not reported it to the police to now come forward.
