Local dance academy takes Manchester by storm

A small community dance academy from the heart of Holbeck and Beeston has made a huge impact on the Manchester competition scene — bringing home an impressive collection of trophies and proving that dedication, heart, and family spirit can achieve extraordinary things.

AJ Collins Dance Academy stunned judges and audiences alike after claiming first place in both the Mini Group and Open Teens categories, alongside a number of solo and duo titles at the prestigious competition in Manchester.

But behind the trophies and applause lies something far more powerful than medals alone.

For the young dancers involved, the academy has become more than just a place to train — it has become a second home, built on love, encouragement, discipline, and unwavering support.

Weeks of preparation, late nights, endless rehearsals, and tireless commitment all came together on stage, where the passion and determination of every performer shone through. Their energy, teamwork, and resilience captured the attention of everyone in the venue, with many praising the academy not only for their talent, but for the spirit and unity they displayed throughout the event.

One young dancer emotionally shared:

“Without AJ helping me both in dance and outside in my normal life, I would be lost.”

It is a statement that reflects the true impact of the academy and its founder — offering guidance, confidence, and stability to young people both inside and outside of dance.

Parents, supporters, and members of the local community have spoken proudly of the positive environment created within the academy, where every child is encouraged to believe in themselves, work hard, and support one another like family. Headed up by the diamond AJ.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the size of the academy itself. Coming from the Holbeck and Beeston areas, AJ Collins Dance Academy continues to prove that talent, determination, and community spirit can compete with — and overcome — the biggest names on the stage.

Their success in Manchester was not simply about winning trophies; it was about showcasing the strength, heart, and togetherness of a dance family that refuses to be overlooked.

As the celebrations continue, one thing is certain: this is only the beginning for AJ Collins Dance Academy, whose impact on young people’s lives is already leaving a lasting legacy far beyond the dance floor.
