
Beeston’s Cross Flatts Park is the venue for Sunday’s Dog Show presented by the Friends of Cross Flatts Park and Tailwaggers Dog Display Team (19 July 2026).
For this year’s annual Dog Show the Friends have teamed up with Yorkshire-based Tailwaggers’ canine performance group, known throughout the UK for their
- Dog musical sequences, where dogs perform choreographed routines alongside their handlers
- Agility demonstrations, where dogs navigate obstacle courses and hurdles
- Advanced obedience and other demonstrations
And for this year
- The largest ever Line Dancing With Dogs event – audience participation encouraged!!
The Friends of Cross Flatts Park have run Dog Shows for 21 years. This year, Pedigree Classes include Any Variety of Puppy, Terrier and Open categories, plus novelty classes:
- Handsomest Dog
- Dog with the most appealing eyes
- Dog that the judge would most like to take home
- Best Rescue and Best Veteran Dog
And of course, Best In Show.
Entries are welcome on the day from 1:30pm. Spectators are very welcome. The more the merrier.
Other attractions include:
- Swing Of Things Band
- Refreshments for sale – ice creams, cakes, hot and cold drinks
- Stalls with Bric a Brac, books and textiles including bags and shirts from across the world, and pet accessories.
- Free craft activities for children
The Friends of Cross Flatts Park, an entirely voluntary group of local people in Beeston, aim to create a safe and attractive park for everyone in the community to enjoy.
The Dog Show takes place on Sunday 19 July from 2pm to 4:30pm near the Watsonian Pavilion in Cross Flatts Park, Beeston, LS11 7NA.
