2023 is going to be a year that changes our extraordinary city forever and for the better. LEEDS 2023 is embarking on a year-long celebration of culture, happening all over the city and everybody can be a part of it.
2023 will be a transformational year like no other. 12 signature events and a multitude of creative experiences are happening all over our city. From dance to design, art to architecture, poetry to pop, sculpture to sport, grassroots community theatre to performances on our world-class stages, there’s something for everyone, no matter where you live or what you like. Culture is everywhere in this city and this is our time to shout about it. LEEDS 2023 is working with local, national and international artists and communities to create a celebration that’s for Leeds, with Leeds and inspired by Leeds.
As 2023 is fast approaching, LEEDS 2023 is hitting the road this Summer as they head out across Leeds to meet you. LEEDS 2023 is going on tour for 3 months across all 33 wards of Leeds as part of The Roadshow. This includes 33 events, one in each ward, where you can meet some of their team to find out more about what they have planned for next year.
From Headingley to Holbeck and Garfoth to Guiseley, they’ll be working with community hubs and venues across the city to host The Roadshow. These events are open to the public for you to learn more about who they are and what they’ll be doing. It’ll be an opportunity to find out more about the programme for 2023, hear about upcoming opportunities, and see how you can get help let culture loose.
LEEDS 2023 have an upcoming event at Voluntary Action Leeds, Lupton Street in Hunslet this Friday (27 May 2022) starting at 6pm. The event is free of cost and wheelchair accessible. There will also be free food, entertainment and lots of creative fun! This will be a great way to connect with LEEDS 2023 and others in your area who are interested in uplifting culture and art in Leeds.
