Junction: a new exhibition at BasementArtsProject for September

NEW EXHIBITION OPENING NIGHT

Thursday 7th September | 5:30-8:30pm

As the summer wanders slowly towards the autumn, the kids go back to school and the drawing in of the nights indicate the onset of winter, come and join BasementArtsProject for the second half of our 2023 programme.

‘Junction’ is a meeting point for the work of two artists from two different countries. Griet Beyaert is a Leeds based sound and performance artist and Silvia Liebig is a multi-media artist based in Leeds’ twinned city of Dortmund, West Germany.

Silvia Liebig may be familiar to the community of South Leeds through her residency with East Street Arts at Artist House 45 in The Garnet’s back in 2019. Griet has exhibited widely with recent Leeds based projects at Leeds Art Gallery and as part of Light Night.

‘Junction’ has been developed especially for BasementArtsProject and is a part of the ongoing Neuland Project which has been supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds. Neustart Kultur.

Come and join us for the preview on Thursday 7th September at 5:30pm for drinks and nibbles
