Join Yorkshire Contemporary for art and play in the Park

Looking for free, creative activities to enjoy with the family this summer? Yorkshire Contemporary (formerly The Tetley) will bring art and play to Cross Flatts Park every Wednesday and Thursday in August.

Inspired by the way museums collect and archive objects, join artist Claye Bowler for pARCHIVE and create a unique Archive of Play through making, casting, finding, binding and playing together.

These are free drop-in sessions, with no booking required, just come along, get creative, and help build the pARCHIVE together!

Sessions run from 11am-2pm every Wednesday and Thursday from 5-27 August 2026, near the tennis courts in Cross Flatts Park, Beeston, LS11 8BQ.

Sessions are staffed but parents/carers remain responsible for their children at all times.

pARCHIVE takes place outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for messy activities.

Activities are designed to be inclusive if your child has any additional needs that you want to discuss please get in touch by email: sophie.bullen@yorkshirecontemporary.org, or phone: 07440 295257.
