Join our free South Leeds Life community correspondents course

Would you like to become a community journalist? South Leeds Life is offering local residents and members of existing groups the opportunity to join a free 10-week training course at Tenants Hall Enterprise Centre, Middleton, starting on noon on Tuesday, October 30.

Participants will learn the basics on how to write articles, headlines, take better photographs, video and learn about social media.

South Leeds Life has always been YOUR blog, owned and run by local residents. We hope our course will help even more peoplelearn some tricks of the trade and contribute articles on the stuff that’s important to you.

If you’re interested in your local community, want to write for South Leeds Life blog – www.sllife.leeds11.com – and printed magazine we’d really love you to join our course.

Don’t worry – you don’t need any specific technical skills as we’ll train you up on most things you need to know, but the ability to use a computer would be an advantage.

The course is also open to members of existing community organisations who want to learn how to increase publicity for their groups.
