Invite to a South Leeds Exhibition. Jacob Talbot | A Space To Breathe

Jacob Talbot | A Space to Breathe
Opening Night | Tuesday 13th October 5:30-8:30pm

It has been something of a crazy and unpredictable year here at BasementArtsProject what with all that has gone on locally, but we remain present and unbeaten as the nights start to draw in towards winter. For this exhibition we invite you into what will be an installation artwork designed to create a sense of timelessness in which you can slow down… maybe even stop for a bit and consider looking after yourself in this world that often seems to be spinning out of control. It feels like it will be therapy for me too. So come and join us on the opening night. There will, as always, be some free food and drink available.

Jacob Talbot | Labyrinth @ Kirkstall Abbey -Kirkstall Art Trail 2025

Jacob Talbot is a Leeds based artist who employs many different techniques and materials in the production of his artwork. Based in Leeds with a studio at Assembly House in Armley, he graduated from Leeds Arts University in photography. His practice has since expanded to include sculptural installations such as ‘The Labyrinth’, a commissioned piece he created for the Kirkstall Abbey’s Mindfulness festival in 2025.

For his exhibition at BasementArtsProject Jacob will be providing you with the ‘space to breathe’, an incitement for you to slow down, maybe even stop completely, and allow yourself the luxury of a rare moment for introspection in a busy hectic world. Take the time to connect to your deeper self and allow yourself ‘A Space To Breathe’.
