Hunslet’s first Christmas Market

The ‘town square’ outside the Hunslet Community Hub & Library will be filled with up to twenty festive stalls on Saturday (17 December 2022) as Hunslet Tenants & Residents Association (TARA) stage its first ever Christmas Market.

All the stalls are being run by local people, selling handcrafted goods and food. There will also be a Santa’s Grotto between 12-3pm, with selection boxes kindly donated by Morrisons.

Stewart Walton, Chair of Hunslet TARA said:

“The idea is to give local tenants and residents something to look forward to and has created by the local community. There are many Christmas markets around Leeds, but with the cost of living crisis getting to them is difficult.

“I have had many people in our community ask for a event of this nature. The Hunslet TARA committee and I were privileged to put this on. I am very excited by the prospect of the Christmas market and hopefully it will only get bigger in future years.”

The whole event runs from 11am-6pm. Hunslet Community Hub & Library is located on Waterloo Street, off Church Street, LS10 2NS.
