The Hunslet Club this weekend hosted its’ sponsored Zumbathon in aid of its youth trips and St Gemma’s Hospice. Scores of people took part in a gruelling two hours of zumba and fitness instruction at the club. Says organiser Phillipa Ranger, “Thank you so much to everyone who took part, it was great fun and wonderful to see so many people enthusiasticly take part in aid of two fantastic causes.” You can see a short video of the participants in action above. The total raised will be announced when all monies have been collected.
This coming weekend (Sat 9th Feb) anyone is also welcome to take part in the clubs’ annual Fitness Challenge, in aid of the same causes and consisting of two hours of Box Fit, Gym & Circuit Training. Participants can either gather sponsorship from friends and family or can make a minimum donation of £10 on the door to take part. There is plenty of room for everyone to take part at one of the top five largest youth clubs in the UK, right here in South Leeds. See video of last years’ Fitness Challenge here.
