Young people from The Hunslet Club’s Senior Youth Programme enjoyed a successful and memorable trip to Malham Cove this week, exploring one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most well-known natural landmarks.
In partnership with the Yorkshire Dales team, the group took part in a litter-picking activity along the walking route, supporting efforts to keep the area clean following a busy period of warm weather and high visitor numbers. The young people collected over a full bag of litter, contributing positively to the local environment.
The visit also included a scenic walk through the countryside and time spent at the waterfall for lunch. The day provided an opportunity for young people to experience the outdoors, build confidence, and spend quality time together in a different setting.
The trip was completed with a relaxed and enjoyable journey home, marking the end of a positive day of activity and engagement.
The Hunslet Club continues to provide opportunities for young people to take part in experiences that support personal development, teamwork, and community responsibility beyond the club setting.
