Holbeck Together host summer sale on Sunday

This Sunday (22 August 2021) will see a South Leeds charity host a spectacular summer sale that will include quality men’s, women’s, children’s and brand-new vintage clothing donated by local businesses, along with an array of homewares, toys and books.

Holbeck Together’s summer sale will take place at St Matthew’s Community Centre, between 9:30am and 1:30pm, on Sunday 22 August.

Originally established as a Neighbourhood Network in 1992 to support vulnerable and isolated older people, today Holbeck Together’s army of volunteers provide an extensive range of services, from delivering hot meals and prescriptions to carrying out well-being checks and watch repairs, right across Holbeck.

The charity also runs a successful kid’s club as well as hosting a full programme of activities for people across all age groups.

Elissa Newman, CEO at Holbeck Together, said:

“This sale will raise valuable funds for Holbeck Together and enable us to continue making a positive impact within our local community. Holbeck Together has worked particularly hard throughout the pandemic to be a constant source of support to people, whether providing food parcels, activity packs or simply by being there to talk to.

“Sunday will be an exciting day and we’re going to be selling a huge amount of stock so there will be something for everyone and it’s the ideal opportunity to grab a bargain and support our work.”
