Yesterday (30 April 2023) Holbeck Moor JFC Under 9s were playing in the club’s first ever cup final and hoping to bring home our first ever cup as a club. Taking part in the Garforth Junior Football League Dual Europa Cup.
After a long unbeaten season, the scene was set and the weather was kind along with a huge crowd gathered supporting both teams. Not sure who was more nervous, the kids playing the game or the adults supporting the children. The game was played in the right spirit.
After the two games and a brilliant competitive match Holbeck Moor JFC had achieved its target with our Under 9s bringing home the first ever cup in the club’s history, trophy cabinet at the ready and now awaiting its first cup.
Congratulations to our Under 9s, you were brilliant and have been all season. As a team you have grown in numbers and grown in character, as a club we’re super proud of you. You simply are as our club moto says StrongerTogether.
We are setting up a new Under 10s team for next season to run alongside this great team.
