Hikers look to step out after lockdown

South Leeds Hiking group are looking to step out after lockdown! The group have been respecting lockdown restrictions but still remain a lively and active group. Many members posting their favourite local walks on the group’s page and posting tips for walkers.

Members have also been posting some stunning photos of local routes and locations further afield, which are worth taking a look at especially if you’re pining for the hills! There are also some urban walks featured which are perfect if you want to stay local.

While the group aren’t organising any overnight events this year this is something they are looking forward to discussing for next year. If you want to be a part of this or their usual walks get in touch and let them know, they’re always open to new members and they’re certainly a friendly lot!

As restrictions lift they are looking ahead to their next walks, making the most of the remaining summer weather. The next location may be Dufton and Knock Fell but keep an eye on their Facebook page for the final word on this. There are also some changes to transport arrangements due to distancing rules but the group are happy to explain this and distancing rules for conduct while on walks. The group have also shared the advice from the British Mountaineering Council on the practicalities surrounding walks at the moment.
