Hamara launches 2011 community awards

The folks at the Hamara Healthy Living Centre, on Tempest Road, Beeston, have announced the launch their 2011 community awards. So get nominating! This is an excerpt from their website

“We are approaching that time of the year again, where we get to nominate a special individual from the community for the Hamara Community Awards if you know anyone who deserves to be nominated in the following catorgories all you have to do is go on http://www.hamara.org.uk/nominations and vote for the Womens Achievement Award, Community Organisation of the Year, Young Persons Award, Service to the Community, Lifetime Achievement Award and Special Initiative Award. From its humble beginnings in a small office with two part-time staff working solely on one project (Asian Elders Project), Hamara has grown to be the largest ethnic minority organisation in the voluntary and community sector in Leeds.
