Beeston Festival returns to Cross Flatts Park on Saturday (27 June 2026) with organisers promising a park full of extraordinary delights.
This will be the 31st edition of the festival and it will feature the usual mix of live music and dance across three stages, children’s activities, sports, live animals, a fun fair and over a hundred stalls in the bazaar including food from around the world.
Highlights on the main stage include percussion maestro and music producer Mr Inder Matharu aka GoldFinger, whose son Silverfinger will also be be performing. They are supported by reggae/ska band Drop Leg Steppas and Rachel Modest and D3 will be performing Cycles of the Moon. The afternoon is rounded of by the East European and klezma sounds of Kibitz.
The cycle-powered Emerge Stage presented by Roadblock is located in the Food Court and will include performances by Sancturary’s Got Talent and the Ghanaian Supreme Brass Band. Head down the Arena in the sports courts to find a range of local dance and majorettes groups.
The entertainment on stage will be supplemented by performers from Yorkshire Circus and Creature Encounters who will bring some fun and a little chaos with Mr Business the Orangutan.
On top of this the kids area will feature Breeze inflatables, a climbing wall, the library Story Bus, a craft tent and more Lego than you can imagine. Waddington’s fun fair will be located further down the park near the Maud Avenue entrance. water
Festival Chair, Angela Gabriel BEM, said:
“We know that the festival is a highlight for many in our community, so we’ve worked hard again to put on the best show we can. There’s something for everyone, so come down to Cross Flatts Park on Saturday and enjoy yourselves.
“The weather forecast looks hot, so don’t forget your sun cream and bring a reusable water bottle, which you can top up for free at the cafe.”
