Further arrests over Recreation Street shooting

Three people have been arrested this morning (10 February 2023) as part of an ongoing investigation into a firearm discharge in Leeds.

Two men, aged 19 and 23, and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in relation to a firearm discharge which caused damage to an address in Recreation Street, Holbeck, on Wednesday 1 February.

The arrests occurred when armed officers carried out an operation at five addresses in south and east Leeds in the early hours of this morning. Scenes remain in place at the addresses to undergo specialist searches.

Detectives from West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident and are still appealing for witnesses and information from the public.

Three men who were arrested on February 2 in connection with incident were later released under investigation, with one being recalled to prison.
