Free will writing session at Hillside

For Leeds Today, For Leeds Tomorrow – free will writing sessions

The Leeds Community Foundation is partnering with Ison Harrison throughout September to offer free will writing sessions for people who want to give something back to their local communities.

HillsideIt is estimated that of the 75% of the population who give to charity, only 7% leave a gift to charity in their will, mostly to large well-known charities. This means that local grass-roots charities are generally over-looked, despite the vital role they play in transforming the lives of those in need in our communities.

Leeds Community Foundation supports the thousands of charities and voluntary groups across the city who work tirelessly to address inequalities and help their communities. We rely on the generosity of businesses and individuals who care about their city; who want to ‘give something back’.

The Leeds Fund, managed by Leeds Community Foundation (LCF), is giving people the option to leave a gift to their local community and provide a vital long-term source of funding for community groups.

Kate Hainsworth, Development Director at LCF, said:

“Leaving a gift to The Leeds Fund means that after providing for your family and friends, you provide for future generations of local people long after you’re gone. If you care deeply for the city where you live, work, go to University, consider a gift in your will to The Leeds Fund. We’d love to hear from you.”
