South Leeds Community Radio have been in touch with details of a course they are running to help local people find a job:
Are you aged 19 + and currently out of work and living in the South Leeds area?
Well if this is you, and you want to gain new skills, and a new qualification to support you in your quest for employment come and join us at South Leeds Community Radio from the 4th March – 8th March. You will have the opportunity to gain a BTEC LEVEL 1 in Work Skills.
The course covers all aspects of employability, from where to search for jobs, preparing for an interview and how to work within a team once you’re in employment.
The course will take place from our new office at Ashbrook Park, 2 minutes walk from the fire station on Dewsbury Road, from 9.30am – 3pm. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
*Providing you are in receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance or Employment Support Allowance your course will be FREE.
