Community Reporters Course postponed

The latest Community Reporters course which was due to start on Wednesday has been postponed until after Easter.

Priority for places on the course is given people who live or work in Belle Isle and Middleton. Unfortunately we didn’t have quite enough people registered to make the course viable.

The course is for anyone who would like to write for South Leeds Life, or for their own local organisation, or just for interest.

On the course you will learn about:

  • writing news stories
  • writing headlines
  • taking better photos
  • using audio and video
  • using social media

There will also be an opportunity to discuss what’s happening with local newspapers, press ethics and the law.

The course will now start on Wednesday 17th April and run every Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:30pm at the Tenant Hall Enterprise Centre in Middleton.

If you would like to find out more about the course or book your place please contact Jeremy on 07894 583966 or email southleedslife@gmail.com.
