Community Fairs Herald Christmas

It was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas on Saturday (30 November 2013) as South Leeds was sprinkled with community Christmas Fairs in Belle Isle, Beeston and Cottingley.

BITMO’s GATE held it’s first Christmas market. Santa was ushered into his grotto with carols sung by pupils from Windmill Primary School and members of the new community choir.

Beeston Parish Centre and Cottingley Community Centre were similarly buzzing with stalls selling all manner of gifts from jewellery to toiletries, books and games. There was plenty of tea and mince pies to go round too.
