The Beeston and Holbeck ward Councillors want to re-establish face to face communications with the Holbeck residents now Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted. On their behalf, Leeds City Council has arranged a drop-in session between 3:30-7:30pm on Tuesday 1 March 2022.
It will take place upstairs at The Holbeck club, Jenkinson Lawn, LS11 9QX. A lift to the first floor has recently been installed allowing access to all. Refreshments including tea and cake will be available.
As it’s a drop-in, you can come for five minutes or 30 – it’s your choice. There will be an area to engage young people, allowing adults some time for uninterrupted chat with the local Councillors and organisations, and also to get involved in local consultations.
Stalls will include:
- Improving Holbeck Moor consultation
- Leeds City Council Highways’ ‘Streets for People’ scheme in the Recreations
- Leeds City Council Employment & Skills
- Platform_ (a mixed use development at Sweet Street West / Marshall Street)
- West Yorkshire Police
Cllr Andrew Scopes commented:
“I’m really excited about the chance to meet with Holbeck residents and hope the drop-in format will mean more people are able to attend. Please come along and speak to us!”
